I loved Gears. Better than Halo. 10x better than any game i've ever played. Ever. Even GH. Well... maybe only 5x better than GH...
And their online ranking system was genius... Except Halo 2 beat them in the matchmaking aspect of it. But the point system is genius. Seriously.

Gear of War is and forever will be terrible!
I am SO glad that Epic Games is getting sued for a faulty Unreal 3 Engine! I hope they lose it all.
