His name is Micheal. I refuse to get into this argument on the grounds that I don't wanna. Well thats because your lazy. and it doesn't matter if he calls me by my name or not. I call u gigaba all the time just because I'm too lazy to write down Alex. I know that makes no sense but deal with it! ;D

Doesn't matter. I personally prefer to buy the discs, because I like actually owning it, but that's just me. Maybe you'd just think it would take up space.

true. The Portal demo said itd take 6 hours. Which is ridiculous compared to the 30 minute to 1 hour install time, and thats for bigger games too. Small games take like 5-20 minutes.

right each game does adds some stradegy to it through class types or game rules(no spawns) its just thatwhen it comes to stradegy its usually very simple stuff. Nothing big time. Like you say u help your teammates build stuff and yes that is stradegy, but again it's not like actual warfare tactics. It's more of a simple form of teamwork. Another example is in Halo3 SWAT. If you go in as a team you usually assign names to various locations on the map. Then if you see an enemy there you can give your teammates his location and they know where he is. As for call of duty S&D the teams usually coordinate simple flanking manueveres to kill off as many people on the enemy team ad to give them an opening to plant the bomb. All these games use stradegy, i'm just saying that due to the run and gun nature of all shooters these stradegies usually aren't very complex and pertain mostly to just simple teamwork and communication How one would define strategy, run-and-gun, and teamwork plays a big role in this argument. Sure there's little bits and pieces of teamwork everywhere, but the strategy in TF2 is mainly choosing which class to use and where to go. Halo doesn't have classes, so that strategic object is gone. But you can choose which way to go on maps... Run-and-gun is defined by me as when you run around at a fast pace and shoot everything in sight. This can't be done in TF2, because chances are if a spy, engineer, scout, etc... spontaniously shoots at a heavy, he will quickly be taken care of. Ya jerk. That's right. I said it. ;D

Well ya thats how most people play shooters. And thats waht i was trying to say with the stradegy thing. Games encorporate different things to add a new stradegy and teamwork aspect, but still when it comes down to it its still run and gun. Thats all I'm trying to say. There really is no game out there that acurately portrays a real battle that you would see in real life. They get close, but because ppl play games like run and guns it isn't quite there. We need to make a game that forces ppl to use real tactics and battlefield manuevers. A good example of reality is paintball. If we could get a shooter to behave like a paintball game, then it would much more acurately portary actual real life stradegy.

Micheal.
Paragraphs are your FRIENDS. Giant walls of text don't get points across very well.
